SciFi and Fantasy Art: Necromancer

This is one watercolour painting from a series I did for a friend portraying her character in some Mud she is passionate about. The character is a necromancer pixie who has the capability to shape shift into a dragon. I tried to make the shadow of the dragon appear in this picture in more than just one way.

The shape of that shadow dragon in the background is great. And the little scales/beads of her dress.

This picture proves that pixies CAN be cool after all. I like the pic very much. She looks so sure of herself. Wonderful!

Holy **** !!!! This pic is awesome! I love the colors and technique. And the girl in the drawing is gorgeous and brooding. What media do you use?

:-) Paula Alavesa replies: "   Watercolours and to get the extra deepness into the black details I used drawing ink."

That slit in her dress is like a dragon maw. I wonder if she consumes the dead? A dress like that on a woman like that could raise the dead. Odd that someone with one foot in the grave should always have wings to fly.

She's great. Love her face and dress. The wings are nice too.

TOTALLY AWESOME! This has to be my favorite of your work! I love how you gave her spikes and her dress... Can you design me a prom dress?

Really nice! Isn't it wonderful how paint just flow out and create new amasing patterns that you can use? I should really try to paint more with real colours..
